SAD GOODBYES

On Sunday July 4th we paid tribute to Lydia as she prepared to return back home to Germany.
She arrived here last year with a deep sense of God’s call upon her life to do something that would make a difference; we were very glad to give her the chance to express that desire.
She worked as the administrator for our new FOOD BANK initiative we were launching to provide food parcels for needy people in the community. This involved liaising with social workers and doctors and other agencies in the area, corresponding and visiting with them. She organised the different teams of volunteers and helped with their training.
She also assisted with other aspects of our work, helping with lessons in schools, and youth activities. She answered phone calls from the general public and helped with office tasks.
She also showed us what a loving and fun spirit she possessed. Her love for God shone out in everything she did and wherever she went – even in India.
What an apprentice! Always learning, always asking questions. We thank God for her and pray she will know His clear leading in the next phase of her life

The team are back! They arrived safely at Heathrow Wednesday night, very tired but exhilerated at seeing God move amongst the people from the villages.
They will report back Sunday morning on the opening of Bethany House ( as the hostel is going to be called) and inspire you as to the great things God did, but until then read this thrilling report

A team of six leave from London for India on Easter Monday, going back to Ghatsila where we have been supporting our partners Masih das and Sarita in reaching out to the Santhali tribal people.
Its going to be very hot and there are water shortages and terrorist activity in the area which makes things quite difficult. Prayer cover is in place with over 100 prayer partners so we are expecting great things to happen. You acn read their prayer itinerary on the Prayer Page http://allnationschurch.co.uk/home/?cat=26
If you’d like to suppport the team, please email pastorles@allnationschurch.co.uk
Going to Haiti
It was the world’s first black republic when the African slaves overthrew their French masters in 1804. Unlike the other Caribbean countries who were given some help to get started when granted independance, Haiti started with zero.
Its emperors, kings and ‘presidents- for- life’ have misruled the country through violence and theft of public funds. It’s now one of the world’s poorest countries and looked down upon by surrounding nations.
They need our prayers. Haitians are 80 % catholic and 100% voodou (which means ‘spirit’ worshippers, following the rites and rituals of African animism, including child sacrifice).
Many believe and live as if the country is under a curse. Prayer is as vital as aid, that they will turn to the true and living God and discover his compassion and love.
We are hoping to send two or three members down there to take in aid and spiritual comfort and need to raise £2000 for travel expenses. Please let pastor Les know if you’d like to help with this. Time is of the essence.
News from Ukraine
Hi guys – have just had two very wet days , thunder & lightening the lot!! Temperature was quite low so lots of replanning of events, but glad to say sun is now out & we should be able to take kids to beach tomorrow- some will see the sun for the first time. We do not always have internet access at the same time we have time to send emails so can’t do the every day thing!
Children are amazing – watching them come out of their shells is incredible – some are struggling though and some have come from very, very poor backgronds. We even have one girl who’s mum is an english teacher but the family is so poor they have had to put her in an orphange.
Team are doing really well – all working very hard and mixing well with other team members and children. The food is generally good but a few things quite bizarre …. usaully at breakfast time! we have had no water a couple of times for a few hours but no great problem – we all carried baby-wipes!
