Finances
Imagine a crowd of people who are being blessed of God financially, and together decide to put their money together for God to use to make not just a little difference in London and the world , but a BIG difference. We can do so much more together than
ever we can by ourselves. Thats why we encourage all our Partners to make a decision to give regulary to Gods work here.
Registered Charity
All Nations has decided to become a registered charity, even though as a church it has had ‘exempted’ status foryears. We are currently in the process of having our application verified and receiving a charity number from the Charity Commission. We operate a stringent system of checks and balances to ensure the church is operated with financial integrity. Our accounts are independently audited each October and available for inspection
Tithes and Offerings
We believe in the New Testament principle of ‘proportionate’ giving – each Christian should give according to their means. Richer ones can give a far bigger proportion of their income than poorer ones. Someone on £50 a week will miss £ 5 (10%) far more than someone on £500 will miss £50 (also 10%).
The early Christians all gave 10% to the Temple as their tithe. After they had paid what they ‘owed’ God, they then gave to the church, who used that money to bless the poor, support the widows and extend the ministry of the church by supporting the apostles. Following this pattern we encourage every Christian to give regularly at least 10% of their income to God, with those able to give more to do so. We then from time to time have special ‘love offerings’, when we give on top of our regular giving to bless a particular person or project or mission.
Giving is good for You
We’ve found doing this does the giver good (as God blesses those who give) and it does the church good enabling us to do all God wants done.
Gift aid
Gift aid is a UK government initiative introduced when Gordon Brown was Chancellor, and its brilliant! If you are a UK tax payer, we are able to reclaim the tax you’ve paid on every £ you give. Its like cash back…from the Government! We get an extra 25p for every £ you give – at no cost to you or us. So if you give £100 and put it an envelope marked Gift aid with your name, address etc, we can turn your £100 into £125! This really makes a difference to us, so please do it! It really is worth it, and it also means less of our money is going on armaments and weapons and bombs.
Standing Orders
Setting up a bank standing order where your giving is automatically sent to the church on a monthly basis helps us make decisions regarding the future. We know if we can take on a new staff member or keep[ our promise to support Chris & Sonia in Kenya or Masih das in India. Standing orders are completely under your control and very easy to set up.You just need these details of our bank to pass on to your bank:
Account: All Nations Baptist Church Sort Code: 20-21-78 Account Number: 80196916 Bank : Barclays Balham Branch
You can’t afford NOT to give regularly if you want to recession proof your finances. ‘Put me to the test’ God once said to people who said they couldn’t afford to give. When they did they found heavens windows opened above them and their finances took a sudden turn for the better!
