Discipleship

Discipleship is intentional and relational. The department’s role is to support, assist and encourage the teaching and application of God’s Word in individual lives and situations.  Providing different environments for fellowship, growth, nurturing and accountability so that each one has the opportunity to become mature in Christ.  Our Discipleship acronym is: FACE

“As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.   • To provide avenues for  individuals to exercise their spiritual gifts

Actions

  • To work  in conjunction with the teaching department
  • To obtain preaching themes in order to plan discipleship programme
  • To provide appropriate Discipleship  Courses
  • To provide opportunities for social  interaction/ gatherings - quarterly
  • To look at suitable format  for the new groups (maximum 12 persons) commencing in January 2013
  • To focus on the discipleship of men within the church
  • To develop a programme for new believers
